Stephen Allen Davis
Biography
Stephen wrote what would become his first hit song when he was 17 years old. Percy Sledge recorded Stephen’s song "Take Time to Know Her" and it soon went to the top of the charts. Since then Stephen has had over 300 songs recorded, received 18 BMI awards, been nominated twice for Grammys and has three Million Air Performance Award songs in his catalog.
While living in Colorado Stephen recorded The Light Pink Album, The Desert Sessions, and Human/Human and these were released on CD. The Desert Sessions also included a live DVD performance filmed at The Boulder Theater in Boulder, Colorado and PBS broadcast the program in 2007.
Now based in Nashville, Stephen continues to broaden his interests. In addition to working on a new CD while still writing songs for other artists, he is the creator, writer, director and star of a TV series called "Welcome to Mouthfull" which will premiere on Amazon Studios Channel. His first novel "Venice Beach" and a collection of short stories will also be published later this year.
